These are my favourite drawings, because I love to draw Succubi and Witches, puffy sleeves and slightly shiny surfaces.
I got into a deep Pinterest dive exploring some 1800's style dresses and fabrics, and thought they would match perfectly with some Witch designs.
It's a habit of mine to focus on character portraits, but only because I enjoy drawing faces so much. These always feel like moments in stories to me.
Meet Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg! This was just a fun sketch of two of my favourite characters of all time. On the left is a Cave Girl character developed for a job test.
What if Wendy was a Lost Boy? I love drawing women in fantasy. Here is a modern Elf, an Orc Heroine and an Elf Princess. I love quick sketches and paints the most, with focus on shape and gesture.
Have you noticed that I like fantasy yet? A pinup Witch, a steampunk Pathfinder, a Faun Empress and a Galadriel inspired Elf.
Mermay is a fantastic time of the year, here are three of the designs I liked! I used to hate drawing hands and noses, but then I practiced them until I loved drawing them.
Just as an exploration of style and shape, I decided to let loose and have fun by drawing some iconic Disney Princesses. Of course these are not my original designs, but they are my original drawings.
These may be older sketches, but I've always been proud of them. I love seeing my art and my style grow.
Colour Designs and Illustrations
I've wheedled out my best and favourite coloured character designs from the hundreds on my Procreate app. I have noticed a strong trend in the Fantasy and Women direction, and those are my favourite types of characters to create stories about. These are all my personal projects and drawings, as I can't show any of my professional designs just yet (thanks, NDA). I use the moments that I draw the things that I like, to push my shape design, posing, character development and colour language as much as possible.
