Here is the short film! Please have a look! It's about a little nature sprite who's world faces impending doom and destruction. But with death comes life, and maybe her world can be born again.
Meet little Mbali, she's a nature sprite who tends to the plants in her African Fynbos world. Watch the shorfilm to see her entire world get torn apart, and how she deals with an unwanted visitor. This is my original and complete design, sculpt and model.
This is Ember. He has one mission, to burn and destroy. Watch the film to see his destruction and discover his true purpose. He is my design, sculpt and model.
On the film I was also the environment layout artist for the shot. With no clear room or space size it was really difficult to find our layout, but we managed.
I was also a main storyboard artist for this film. As I had a director-esque role, I was heavily involved in directing the look of the characters, environment and shots.
This was my Student Shortfilm created at The Animation School in Johannesburg, South Africa. I was in a team of 9 wonderful people, and we had 9 months to complete the film.
